Anglia TV Weather

Have you noticed that we sponsor the weather reports on Anglia TV? This enables us to promote our mortgages, current account, savings accounts and our Independent Financial Advice Service. There are five forecasts each weekday and three each on Saturdays and Sundays.

Mike Hounsell, N&P’s Director of Sales & Marketing, said:  “As everyone knows, the UK’s favourite topic of conversation is, and always has been – the weather!   The forecast – even if it’s not always 100% accurate – is relied on by thousands of people, so sponsoring Anglia weather is something we’re very excited about for building awareness and the stature of our brand.  Around 70% of all adults in Anglia’s broadcast region see the campaign every month.”

Anglia Energy Services

We’ve teamed up with Anglia Energy Services (AES) to help our customers reduce their energy bills whilst raising money for environmental charity causes. By switching to an AES supplier  - an established, energy provider for either electricity, gas or both – N&P customers will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Discounts on a range of home improvement services such as energy efficient boilers, cavity wall insulation etc.
  • A free home energy survey.
  • For every N&P customer who switches to an AES supplier a small sum of money will be donated to Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT).

In turn PECT will invest this money within the Anglia region towards various environmental initiatives. To join the AES scheme, or to obtain further information, please contact 0800 783 4761, or send an email to www.angliaenergyservices.co.uk.

We support the community

Through our ‘community’ budgets, branch managers are able to lend support to deserving organisations and groups within their area.

And we support your local football club

We have special accounts for a number of football clubs from Norwich City FC, Lincoln City FC and Peterborough United FC to Millwall FC, Hull City AFc and Kings Lynn and many more, for supports to help them raise money for their teams whilst earning interest for themselves.

We also support schools

Thanks to ‘energy teacher’, school children in the region are able to learn about the impact of global warming and get tips on how to cut down on carbon emissions. The University of East Anglia’s CRed (carbon reduction) programme hopes that the ‘pester power’ will help to pass on to parents the importance of recycling waste and saving energy.

N&P donated £15,000 to the CRed Schools Energy Club, in 2005, to fund the employment of a co-ordinator. The co-ordinator works closely with schools in West Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire.
